Enable has made it a perfect 12 wins in a row on her final start on British soil. John Gosden's superstar led home a field of just three rivals to take a second Yorkshire Oaks today.

This afternoon's win provided the daughter of Nathaniel with a second victory in the race. Today's procession follows her demolition of stablemate Coronet on the Knavesmire in 2017.

Aidan O'Brien enjoyed group One glory with Japan at York on Wednesday, but had to settle for second again behind Enable. The superstar mare left legendary jockey Frankie Dettori in tears of joy on the walk to the winners enclosure after another special performance.

Ballydoyle trained runners have been closest to Enable's backside on six of her ten pattern wins. Magical has now filled the second place on the podium three times in her four meetings with Frankie's favourite filly.

Punters at York were treated to yet another flying dismount, following the win by Logician in the Great Voltigeur on Wednesday.

Historic treble

The focus will now turn to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Enable is looking to become the first horse in history to win the great race for the third time. She will line up at Longchamp with the weight of history on her shoulders but also plenty of punters' cash as she is odds on in places to retain her Arc crown.

Even at a time of strained Anglo-French diplomatic relations, the Paris Turf paper dedicated their front page to Enable today.

Enable will finish her racing career after the Arc and retire to the breeding sheds at Juddmonte. She has already made history by becoming the first-ever Arc winner to go on and oblige at the Breeders' Cup, as she did last year beating Magical under the Twin Spires at Churchill Downs last year.

Enable is a great racehorse already. A win at Longchamp on the first weekend of October and she has legitimate claims to becoming one of the all-time greats.
