West Indies superstar Chris Gayle has been fined AUS$10,000 (€6,660 approx) for comments made during an interview during a Big Bash game in Australia. 

The Melbourne Renegades star was interviewed by reporter Melanie McLaughlin after his innings when he asked her out on a date. He told McLaughlin to "don't blush baby" as she clearly looked uncomfortable to his advances.

The 36-year-old apologised overnight over something he called "a simple joke". He added that he tried to contact McLaughlin to apologise, but was unable to.
