Documentary on Newstalk's 'Never Ignored: Ollie's Reds' has been nominated in the Radio Sports category at the prestigious Celtic Media Festival.
Eoin Brennan's production tells the remarkable story of former Shelboure FC owner Ollie Byrne. The documentary brings the listener from Byrne's early days running nightclubs and managing bands on the Dublin rock scene of the 70s, to leading his beloved Shelbourne to the brink of Champions League qualification in 2004 before a dramatic collapse of the club just two years later.
The Celtic Media Festival showcases the best work in radio, film, TV and digital media from the Celtic nations and regions - with an international jury assessing entries from Ireland, Britain, Spain and France. This year's festival takes place in Inverness, Scotland between April 22-24.
