Novak Djokovic is through to his sixth consecutive French Open semi-final and will play Dominic Thiem on Friday at Roland Garros.

The World's top ranked player won in straight sets, 6-3 7-5 6-3, to see off the challenge of Tomas Berdych but can count himself lucky that his stray racket did not hit the line umpire behind him. He was decrying the conditions and it appeared as though the racket did slip out of his hand.

Djokovic had this to say to reporters after the match.

13th seeded Thiem had a trickier time in his quarter-final on route to a 4-6 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 6-1 victory over David Goffin. Austrian Thiem is seen as a rising star in the sport and will be given the job of preventing Djokovic from reaching the final against either Stan Wawrinka or Andy Murray.
