Daithi Regan says he has found this year's All-Ireland hurling championship to be underwhelming thus far.

The former Offaly All-Ireland winner was speaking on Off The Ball tonight as we previewed this weekend's hurling quarter-finals.

"[I'm] totally underwhelmed by the championship this year. The standout performances were the two kingpins, Kilkenny and Tipp; Kilkenny and their demolition of Wexford and against Galway as well; Tipp's annihilation of Limerick and pretty comfortable the last day as well [against Waterford]. It's been very underwhelming and certainly for me the Galway v Cork game is the most attractive game of the weekend," said Daithi, who also joined by former Clare star Jamesie O'Connor on tonight's show.

Daithi wants to see Cork attempt to go for the jugular and try to take on Galway "man for man". But he expects the latter side to win because he "sees Galway scoring minimum two goals" at Semple Stadium.

Dublin v Waterford is our live hurling quarter-final on Off The Ball this Saturday. Listen to Daithi and Jamesie's full preview of that game and Cork v Galway via the podcast:
