Malahide will play host to the Ranji Cricket Tournament this weekend and Irish cricketer, Kevin O'Brien, is an ambassador for the charity tournament.
The round robin style tournament will raise funds for the Guide Dogs Association and Educate Together. With there being a slightly different format to this event, O'Brien was quick to voice his interest.
"Each team bats, bowls and fields, and while you're bowling another team is actually fielding for you.
"It's quite a complex and interesting way of playing it. I had never seen it before since last year's event."
The 31-year-old also discussed Ireland's recent form during the T20 World Cup Qualifiers and the weather hit games against Hong Kong.
"We had a sticky couple of weeks I suppose. The main objective was to qualify for the World Cup and of course we did that."
