If the defeat to Costa Rica is anything to go by, Uruguay should be very nervous about playing Colombia in Saturday's last-16 clash without Luis Suarez.

But as Ewan MacKenna reminded us on Team 33, this is a football nation which is even more dangerous when their backs are against the wall.

On the latest episode of our World Cup podcast, we spoke to MacKenna, who is based in Brazil, about the reaction to Suarez' ban within the Latin American media and how this affects the mindset of a team seemingly reliant on the controversial Liverpool striker.

Ewan was also at the Ghana match and gave his take on their defeat amid farcical scenes which saw two leading players sent home for losing the plot over bonus payments.
