Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been banned for three matches by the Football Association for violent conduct.

It relates to an incident with Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny during Saturday's Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

The incident was not seen by the match officials, but caught on video, and Costa denied the charge.

However, the FA has chosen to ban him, meaning he will miss Chelsea's next three league matches.

Earlier, Arsenal defender Gabriel had his red card overturned after clashing with Costa.

However, the Brazilian could still face a ban in relation to a separate FA charge of improper conduct which he has until Thursday evening to respond to.
