Conor McGregor has had his punishment for a bottle-throwing incident at a press conference reduced.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission originally fined the UFC lightweight champion and former featherweight title holder $75,000 (€69,300) and ordered he serve 50 hours of community service for his actions ahead of UFC 202, in the build up to his rematch with Nate Diaz in August 2016.

That punishment has today been reduced to a $25,000 fine and 25 hours community service.

The settlement opens the door for McGregor to fight again in Las Vegas after suggestions from UFC president Dana White that the original punishment had spurred the Dubliner to vow to never fight in the Nevada city again.
