Good news from New Zealand this morning where the Ireland under 20's have reached the junior World cup semi finals. A 38-0 win over Fiji was enough to see Mike Ruddocks side through to the last four of the competition. Two penalty try's in the first half sent the Irish on their on way before trys in the second half from Galwegians and Connacht Winger Ciaran Gaffney another penalty try and then a fifth from Lansdowne and Leinster back Conor Mc Keown. Ruddock says they had to be patient but deserved to get through having got the bonus point win they needed.
