Clare hurler Shane O'Donnell has been ruled out for a minimum of six weeks, after it was revealed that he suffered a knee injury.

Joint Managers Donal Moloney and Gerry O'Connor confirmed to the Club Clare members, that the 22-year-old will not be available for selection again until at least the middle of April.

The extent of O'Donnell's injury means that Clare will be without the 2013 All-Ireland hat-trick hero for the remainder of the National League campaign.

Should Clare reach the League final on April 23rd, O'Donnell will be in a race against time to be fit for that game.

The Éire Óg clubman was absent for Clare's defeat to Tipperary last weekend, as his side look to defend their Division 1 crown. They currently sit third on the table after three games.
