Chelsea will play Monterrey in their opening game of the Club World Cup on Thursday. 

The Mexican side beat Japanese title winners Sanfrecce Hiroshima 2-1 to set up a meeting with the Champions League holders, who start their campaign at the semi-final stage in Japan.

Highly fancied Brazilian side, Corinthians, will play Egypt's Al-Ahly in the other last four clash.

Corinthians won last season's Copa Libertadores - the prestigious South American Champions League.
