Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed his squad for friendlies against two Irish teams as they arrive in Dublin.

The 41-year-old's first game in charge of the Blues will be against Bohemians at Dalymount Park on Wednesday, July 10th, with kick-off at seven o'clock. While, his team will then face St Patrick's Athletic in Inchicore next Saturday, the 13th at two o'clock.

The pair of Dublin friendlies come just before the Blues head to Japan where they'll play J-League champions Kawasaki and Barcelona in Saitama. They're opening their Premier League campaign against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United on August 11th at Old Trafford.

Last season, Chelsea played at the Aviva Stadium in a pre-season game against Arsenal, which ended 1-1, while their last visit to Dalymount Park was back in 1991.

Lampard left Derby County after one season in charge leading them to the Championship Play-Off Final, with Aston Villa came out on top in the Wembley decider.

The ex-England international had been the front runner to take over at Stamford Bridge following the departure of Maurizio Sarri to Juventus. He takes over while the club is under a two-window transfer ban.

Commenting on his appointment earlier this month, Lampard said: "I am immensely proud to be returning to Chelsea as head coach. Everyone knows my love for this club and the history we have shared, however, my sole focus is on the job in hand and preparing for the season ahead.

"I am here to work hard, bring further success to the club and I cannot wait to get started."
