Irish fans of all generations have their favourite player.

Robbie Brady is quickly becoming the go-to start for young Irish fans. One of the stars of Euro 2016, Brady's heroics in France is the seminal memory of many young Irish fans.

The new Burnley star is the favourite player of eight-year-old Andrew Whelan from Laois. Andrew was lucky enough to get to tickets to a Norwich game last Christmas to see Brady in the flesh. There was one problem though. The tickets were to see Norwich against Cardiff on Saturday afternoon.

Since the Dubliner's move back to the Premier League, Andrew's trip to Cardiff to see Brady play was now pointless. The Ireland international will instead be over 150 miles away, at Vicarage Road, as Burnley play Watford.

After being contacted on Twitter, Burnley revealed they are happy to help Andrew and his family meet Brady.

The FAI have also confirmed that the Louth native had been invited to meet Brady during Ireland's March games with Wales and Iceland.

All's well, that ends well.
