Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce is believed to have had an informal interview to be the next England manager.
But the Premier League club are not happy about it, calling the situation "extremely damaging" to them as they outlined in an earlier statement.
They also want him to stay in his current job and called for the matter to be resolved quickly.

Allardyce flew back to the UK from his squad's training camp in Austria and the club gave him permission to speak to the FA.
Allardyce was photographed at the home of FA vice-chairman David Gill in what is believed to be an informal interview.
