One goal separated Liverpool and Sunderland last night but there were other flashpoints during last night's Premier League clash.

One of those was on the touchline between managers Jurgen Klopp and Sam Allardyce.

Liverpool boss Klopp was incensed by a tackle from Sunderland's Jeremain Lens on his centre-back Mamadou Sakho in the second half, one he saw as a clear red card.

Allardyce, unsurprisingly, had a different view of the challenge in his response.

"He’s a soft German if that’s a red card. It’s a yellow, a foul," he said.

"There was some foul and abusive language towards my staff that I didn’t like. After the end, it was alright though, because we all shook hands and got on with it, which is what you've got to do."
