Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness has been charged with tax evasion by German prosecutors.

The former Bayern Munich and Germany star has one month to answer the charges, before it is decided whether the case goes to court.

The revelations first emerged in the lead up to the Champions League final in May.

Hoeness had turned himself into the tax authorities over an undeclared bank account in Switzerland.
