Limerick's Barry Nash has left the inter-county hurling panel, Treaty County boss John Kiely has confirmed.

Speaking to the Limerick Leader, Kiely said that Nash departed the panel for "personal reasons" and will not be involved in their upcoming league campaign.

Nash was one of the stronger performers from last month's Munster Hurling League and was included in the side that were beaten by Cork in the final of the competition.

He featured three times last season in the championship for TJ Ryan as they were knocked out at the hands of Clare in Round 2 of the qualifiers.

Nash is eligible to represent the U21 panel. Limerick begin their Allianz Hurling League campaign away to Wexford on Sunday. He was not present for their challenge match defeat to Waterford last weekend.
