Anyone who watched El Clasico last night would agree that it was the quintessential game of two halves - or partido de dos mitades as the Spanish would say.

But according to Off The Ball's European football reviewer, something else was clear about 2-1 winners Barcelona - a lack of killer instinct.

"They're not invincible or unbeatable and they don't kill teams off. This is a big problem for them. This is a team which lacks a killer instinct," said Ben tonight, also adding that the pattern was apparent in the victories over Manchester City in the Champions League.

Luis Suarez got the winner last night and Ben also assessed how his role is evolving in Barcelona's front three and noted how Neymar gets "bullied" in these big games. 

He also pointed out that media criticism of Gareth Bale was muted today, but expects the Spanish press to "go after him" tomorrow, even if president Florentino Perez will do everything in his power to keep hold of the Welshman.

But he also thinks that if Bale in the long-term, it would make more sense to keep the former Tottenham winger at the Bernabeu in comparison to Cristiano Ronaldo in two years' time.
