Waterford IT and UCC booked their place in the semi-finals of the Fitzgibbon Cup after yesterday's quarter-final action.

WIT needed extra-time to finally get the better of their hosts DIT at the Parnells GAA club in Coolock, winning by 1-21 to 1-14.

DIT had two penalties saved during that game while goalkeeper Stephen O'Keefe was outstanding throughout for WIT, Liam McGrath who scored the goal for the Waterford based side was taken off with what appeared to be hamstring injury in extra time meaning he could be a doubt for Tipperary's clash with Kilkenny this weekend.
