Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood says Stiliyan Petrov will return to the club to work as a first-team coach.

The former captain is held in high regard by Villa fans.

Petrov was diagnosed with leukaemia three years ago and has been recovering ever since.

Sherwood says the former midfielder has a lot to offer the squad.
