Whatever way you look at it, Atletico Madrid are not the same team they were last season - both in terms of personnel and quality.

That was a point made by Off The Ball's European football correspondent Graham Hunter as he joined us to look at the vital match against high-flying Valencia.

But he also spoke about the future of the club's mercurial manager Diego Simeone, who has been linked with an exit in the summer.

"I genuinely don't want to pin my colours to the mast and say he's definitely doing this or that because my belief is that he has not irrevocably made that decision. But I think you can chart a trend. He has said from the first time he signed for Atleti, that 'so long as I'm given consistency of squad, the club is demonstrating to me its ambition and its will to grow, then I'll stay,'" said Graham, who suggested that the Fernando Torres signing may point towards his future.

"I think his overall intention is against [leaving]."
