The coach of Asafa Powell and Sherone Simpson says the pair have made him out as a scapegoat for failing drugs tests. 

The sprinters are among five Jamaican athletes to have tested positive for a banned substance during national trials last month. 

Chris Xuereb insists he is done nothing wrong, adding that the athletes should "take responsibility for their doping".

Yesterday, Joe Molloy spoke to New York Times sports reporter Juliet Macur and Dr Ross Tucker from the Sports Science Institute of South Africa about the way in which athletes are claiming inadvertent use of banned substances.
