With the news this morning that the Irish Women's hockey team lost a crucial match that could have put them out of contention for the Olympics in 2016, suddenly everyone became an expert on hockey in Ireland.

Believe us, it's a little confusing. Basically, Ireland aren't out completely just yet. They could in fact still qualify this weekend.

However, we reckon quite a few people who were interested in the match this morning had never watched a single hockey match in their life before now. We're not sure, we're just guessing.

This was the topic of discussion on Off the Ball this evening.

Wooly said: "We love a bandwagon, there's no doubt about that. Twitter was blowing up about the women's hockey this morning.

"If it's not the usual thing you tweet about or talk about, just enjoy it without going, suddenly I'm really into this sport."

Adrian Barry, Wooly and Richie McCormack had a chat through some of the mos prominent bandwagons:

Then events took a turn.

It turns out a lot of people want to be on the #woolywagon. Yes, a bandwagon solely for Wooly.

Then more people joined the #woolywagon. In fact, there's quite a lot of people on the bandwagon now.
