The actress was apparently refusing to travel to the country due to its laws permitting the hunting and slaughter of dolphins.

But Jennifer’s rep told E! News the reports are completely untrue and she is not feuding with Japan.

The Friends star is known for her public support of animal charities and has spoken out before in defence of the dolphins.

Jennifer appeared in a 2011 PSA released in conjunction with The Cove, a documentary revealing what happens to dolphins in Japan. The two-minute videos also have a host of other celebrities including her friend Courteney Cox, Paul Rudd, Ben Stiller, Hayden Panettiere, Robin Williams, and Woody Harrelson.

Jennifer is also a huge supporter of adopting rescue dogs. The Marley & Me star told talk show host Jay Leno in 2011 how she and fiancé Justin Theroux adopted a pit/boxer mix puppy from an abandoned litter.

"They were left in a box in front of a shelter – so heartbreaking. So we ran over. We were [at the shelter] for three hours. I was almost walking out with three puppies," she said on The Tonight Show. "That's why we named her Sophie, because it was [like] Sophie's Choice. I was crying – it was so hard. Sophie came right up to us. That was sort of a big indicator – they choose you."

The couple also share Dolly, a white German shepherd dog. Jennifer’s beloved Welsh corgi-terrier dog Norman died in 2011 at age 15, and she got a tattoo of his name on her foot to remember him by.
