Adam Scott has announced that he is splitting with his caddie Steve Williams.

The pair have agreed to end their 3-year partnership, during which time Scott won his first major at the 2013 Masters and also made it to the top of the world rankings.

Williams, who had previously worked with Tiger Woods, had said at the start of the season that he intended to reduce his tournament schedule for 2015 in order to spend more time with his family in New Zealand.

"Our priorities and stages of life are different now, and so we decided this is the best time to end our partnership," said Scott in a statement.
