Stoke have reportedly turned down a £1.5M bid from Norwich for Jonathan Walters.

The 31-year-old Irish intenrational is in the final year of his contract at the Britannia and could face a battle to hold onto his place in the side this season following the high-profile capture of the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Ibrahim Afellay.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes says that Walters is a doubt for this weekend's clash with the Canaries at Carrow Road because of a virus.
