Most teams would be reasonably confident of winning a game, when they held a two-point lead with less than three seconds to go.

Unluckily for the Sacramento Kings, the Dallas Mavericks' Deron Williams scored a three-pointer with the last play of the game to win by a point.

The teams were unable to be separated at the end of the game and also with a period of overtime. Williams' shot came in the 58th and final minute as the teams played an extra ten minutes in search of a winner.

The win for the Mavericks improved their season record to 20-15. Sacramento dropped to 14-21.
