Peaky Blinders which has just wrapped up its fifth series on the BBC is a show that regularly mixes fiction and historical fact.

Series 5 saw the inclusion of Sir Oswald Mosley, one time leader of the British Union of Fascists. A forgotten chapter of the Mosley story concerns his appearance on The Late Late Show in 1975, which caused major division, and the fact he lived in Ireland.
