Rarely has someone in history been recalled for so few words - ‘Let Them Eat Cake.’ Her execution shook opinion everywhere - including here in Ireland - but lesser-known is the bizarre plot that seemingly existed to assist her in a dramatic escape to Ireland. Just who wanted to bring this social pariah to Ireland, and is there anything to this abiding story in rural Kerry?
