In the fourth episode, we are brought back into the courtroom as Brian Hennessy is about to be sentenced for the murders of Sharon Whelan and her two daughters, Zarah and Nadia.

John, Sharon's brother, had delivered a powerful Victim Impact Statement on behalf of the family about the devastation caused by their shocking deaths on Christmas morning 2008.

Now, it was up to the judge to set out his sentence.

It would send shockwaves through the courtroom, but unfortunately for the Whelan family it wouldn't stand for long as an appeal was lodged immediately after sentencing.
