US President Joe Biden has said that the final troops will be withdrawn from Afghanistan on August 31st, 20 years after they first went in. 

Tensions remain high in the region, however, as Taliban militants are now around 100km from the capital, Kabul and 10 provincial capitals are now under Tabilan control.
