The State spent an eyewatering €17.1 billion in response to Covid-19 during the first year of the pandemic up to the end of February 2021, according to the annual report from the State’s spending watchdog, the Comptroller and Auditor General. After a year like no other, Budget 2022 is set to be one of the toughest yet. What lies in store? To discuss we spoke to  Louise O’Reilly, Sinn Fein TD  and Party Spokesperson on Enterprise, Trade and Employment and Alan Farrell, Fine Gael TD and Climate Action Spokesperson.
