Many students around the country were over the moon with their CAO offers yesterday. However, not everyone was happy as grade inflation and an increase in applications pushed more courses than ever above the 600 point mark. Random selection saw many deserving students miss out. Trinity College School of Education Professor Damien Murchan believes more places will be needed as a result of grade inflation.
