The Government is challenging a case made by Social Democrats co-leader Róisín Shortall, to scrap the presidential oath. Michael Nugent, chairperson of Atheist Ireland has branded this move by cabinet as disgraceful and says that the oath breaches human rights and joined us on Newstalk Breakfast this morning.
