Leaving Cert Students Ended Up Being Marked Down In Their Oral Exams This Year

Significant numbers of Leaving Cert students ended up being marked down in their oral exams this year through no fault of their own due to shortcomings in the way interviews were conducted, according to some examiners.  The main reason for the markdowns was due to teachers conducting the oral exams, who were not trained correctly in administering correct examining methods, resulting in some parts of the oral being omitted completely.  For more on this we heard from Former Headmaster of St Andrews College, Dublin and Director of Godsil Education, Arthur Godsil.
