Today, we're talking about the death of 3-year-old Alan Kurdi, a Syrian refugee, whose image appeared on TVs and newspapers across the globe after he drowned in the Mediterranean in 2015.  

 The image sent shockwaves around the world – but the situation for refugees coming to Europe is still dire in many places.  

 Franziska Grillmeier is a Freelance Journalist based on Lesvos Island, Greece and she joins me on the line now to tell us what it’s like...
