Heavy penalties for motorists breaking speed limits by 30km/h

Conor Faughnan, Director of Consumer Affairs at AA Ireland, joined Shane Coleman on the show this morning to give his views on a new law proposed by Minister for Transport Shane Ross, wherein motorists caught breaking the speed limit by more than 30km/h would be facing a €2,000 fine.

Motorists caught breaking the speed limit by more than 30km/h would be facing a €2,000 fine under a new law proposed by Minister for Transport Shane Ross.

Conor Faughnan, Director of Consumer Affairs at AA Ireland, spoke to Shane Coleman on the show this morning to outline why this idea isn't likely to do much good.
