Armed gardaí were called in to ensure a marquee to ‘host 200 guests’ was taken down yesterday afternoon in County Longford ahead of a traveller wedding. Longford county council had secured a Circuit Court order for the removal of the marquee. Martin Collins Co-Director of Pavee Point Traveller & Roma Centre gave his view of the situation.
