A new bill Fianna Fail bill due to be discussed by the Dail could give extra powers to the Comptroller and Auditor General to investigate all infrastructure projects as soon as they go over budget. 

The bill comes as Minister for Health Simon Harris is set to apologise for his disclosures overt the overspend on the national Children’s Hospital.
