Former police officer Derek Chauvin has been convicted of the murder of George Floyd. The case sparked protests and race relations debates across the globe after footage emerged of Mr Chauvin pinning the 46-year-old black man to the ground with a knee to Mr Floyd’s neck. Following the verdict, in a phone call with the FLoyd Family, US president Joe Biden paid tribute to the family and said a lot more would be done to fight racial inequality.
