Gardaí are investigating an incident that has left a parish shook, after swastikas were graffitied on a catholic religious site in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

The vandalism was discovered on Tuesday by members of a local committee who take care of the religious site at Cnoc a Chomortais or Scrouthea Hill in the Comeragh mountains, overlooking Clonmel town.

Newstalk Breakfast spoke to Reverend Father Michael Toomey about the situation.
