The HSE are awaiting a recommendation from the National Immunization Advisory Committee next week on use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in light of concerns about links to blood clots as a rare side effect. There are concerns that restricting the use of the vaccine would “significantly” affect the rollout of our vaccine programme.
