It was a very sad day for Irish poetry as two of the country’s best known poets passed away.  Brendan Kennelly passed away at the age of 85 while Máire Mhac an tSaoi died at the age of 99.  Poet Gabriel Fitzmaurice was a friend to both poets and he spoke fondly of his two friends this morning on the show.
