What is it like to be a young person today?  Well a new survey has offered some insights and not all of it is pleasant reading.  The study has found that as much as one in four 20-year-olds is suffering high levels of stress and potential symptoms of depression – with young women being the worst affected.  ‘Growing Up in Ireland’ a survey of over five thousand 20-year-olds shows that access to housing is one of the most concerning issues to the group.  Most 20-year-olds were still living at home and were financially dependent on their parents, especially for basic living expenses.  And, many listed financial and employment security as their main aspiration in the next 10 years.
