The University of California, Berkeley have finally turned the persistent success myth on its head.
In a study that examined the personality dimensions of 450 people over 14 years, they found that ‘’Disagreeableness does not give people an advantage in the competition for power – even in more cut-throat, dog-eat-dog organisational cultures’’.
People who are generous, trustworthy and kind are just as likely to succeed.
