Are you fed up with builder vans parked on the pavement, blocking the path for buggy and wheelchair users. Are you sick of poor quality pavements which have pot holes and are poorly finished?

Ireland has cycling lobby groups, truck lobby groups and car lobby groups. But nobody to represent the humble pedestrian.

More pedestrians are killed than any other road user, do they still come last and have zero say.

Is this about to change with the first meeting of ‘The Irish Pedestrian Network’ which takes place tonight.

A twitter account called @DublinBlockers have being putting up photos of selfish parking, blocking pavements for some time.

They want liveable, pedestrian friendly streets. And are having their first meeting of the Irish Pedestrian Network tonight the 26th February at 7.30pm in the Teachers Club on Parnell Street Dublin. All interest groups and individuals are welcome.
