Khabib Nurmagomedov says he will make Conor McGregor suffer for a full five rounds if given the chance to confront the Irish man in the Octagon.
The lightweight fighter has previously pitched himself as a worthy contender for McGregor after the latter claimed the UFC belt in New York.
Nurmagomedov described his plan of attack to TMZ Sports in which he stressed that this fight is not about the money he could earn from the fight.
I am old school and try to do this man to man but the he don't want anything to do with a real man. Time to move on @danawhite @seanshelby pic.twitter.com/ilAL4yM6O7

"I want to take him down, speak with him, slap him, make him nervous ... like, 'Hey, get up! Let's go! Where is your boxing?' ... play with him and make him give up. This is what I want. But I don't want to finish him 1st round, 2nd round, 3rd round ... I want to fight with him for 25 minutes like 5 rounds and I want to make him look very bad. And finish his hype."
McGregor has several options for his next bout. A third fight against Nate Diaz to finally settle their ongoing feud or, defending his featherweight belt against the interim title-holder Jose Aldo are among the main choices.
Speaking after his capture of the lightweight belt against Eddie Alvarez, McGregor revealed that his due to become a father and may be taking a break from competition to focus on that.
