The HSE is to review an incident in which a woman fell from a window at Cavan General Hospital.

It's understood the patient suffered head injuries in the fall.

The woman has been transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Droghea for her injuries, where she is said to be in a stable condition.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.
