Lorna McKeogh alleged poor professional performance against a gynaecologist after he clipped both her fallopian tubes without her consent .
Mrs McKeogh accused the Medical Council of failing to back the rights of patients by preventing doctors, acting without the consent of their patients.
A disciplinary hearing by the Medical Council cleared consultant obstetrician/gynaecologist Declan Egan of poor professional performance.
Lorna McKeogh spoke to Jonathan Healy on Newstalk Lunchtime today to give details about her case, telling him that she thought the consent form she signed only referred to one fallopian tube.
She then went on to say how heartbroken she was about the procedure.
"Shock... We questioned it at the time."
Lorna couldn't conceive naturally after the operation: "Never again... as far as I was concerned".
